2K7 will be different
|

 Here
we are, seven years into the
new millennium. Do you remember
seven years ago when the world
was in a fear frenzy over
the Y2K possibilities for disaster
over synchronized computers,
generators, clocks, air traffic
control and other entities?
People stockpiled food, water,
batteries, clothing and we
waited with bated breath....for
nothing. That's right, nothing
happened. Life just perked
along the same as always.
It occurs to me that our personal lives can also be
like that. We fret, worry, plan, fear and agonize and
almost always it is for nothing.
The person we are today is not who we really are.
Our lives are the result of all the decisions we have
made in the past. But the beautiful thing is we can
decide right now...in this moment...to create a life
that we love. To forgive ourselves and others. To live
with more joy. More trust in the every present
abundance in this world and in our lives. By doing this
for ourselves and through ourselves, 2K7 will be
completely a new and different experience. If we
choose not to change anything...it will be the same,
of course.
Interestingly, everyone I have talked with has said
something along the lines, 2007 is going to be a
GREAT year! Another friend's husband said it
best. "Oh Thank Heaven for 2007."
So, this week, begin to look at the entire year
stretched out in glorious repose at your feet and say
to yourself, "2K7 is going to be different...and I am
grateful."
